Forum 2010

Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation hosted more than 100 attendees from across the province at the  Alberta Sustainable Tourism Forum at Nakoda Lodge on December 9, 2010.

Attendance at the 2010 Forum represented a diverse group including government at all levels and various departments, all sectors of the industry and activities, education sector and representative of all regions of the province.

The Alberta Sustainable Tourism Forum program was about sharing best practices in Alberta and beyond – and to identify the next steps for the Alberta Sustainable Tourism Initiative.

The  Forum explored the business case for sustainable tourism, showcased Alberta best practices of economic development, low-impact practices, socio-cultural and authentic experiences and effectively communicating your sustainable practices.
